What theme developers ask
Do I need to host or maintain the guest demos?
No. SandyWP provisions and hosts each guest sandbox, then expires it automatically after seven hours.
Does every visitor really get a separate site?
Yes. Every successful launch creates an isolated sandbox. It is not a shared demo that accumulates changes between visitors.
Can visitors reach wp-admin?
Yes. When the sandbox is ready, the launcher redirects through a magic-login URL into wp-admin. The public site remains available at its own URL too.
Do visitors need a SandyWP account?
Not for a WordPress.org theme launcher. SandyWP may show an abuse-protection check, and normal guest launch and rate limits still apply.
What if my theme is not on WordPress.org?
Build or import a sandbox, stage the theme and content, then save the complete site as a template. Paid plans can enable that template’s public launch link for fresh visitor copies.
Can I test older WordPress or different PHP versions?
Account sandboxes can select supported pinned and preview WordPress releases across PHP 8.1, 8.2, and 8.3. The public theme launcher uses SandyWP’s standard guest stack.
